I offer pediatric Occupational Therapy (OT) services to children and their families who are challenged by the expectations of their everyday routines at home, school and the community. My evaluations are geared toward helping families determine if there are any delays in motor, sensory or social-emotional development that are preventing a child from reaching his or her full potential. Therapy goals and services are family centered and aim to meet the needs of the whole family. Parent education, coaching and participation is an important part of this type of intervention. I take a deep dive with parents to discover a child's unique regulation profile. We use this profile to better understand what constricts and supports a child's ability to access learning and to make progress in all areas of development. Through viewing their child and themselves through a sensory sense, parents can be equipped with the tools they need to support their child after occupational therapy is done. This family centered approach to intervention which supports sensory processing, relationships and regulation can set the roots from which your child will grow and blossom.
About me:
I have practiced as a pediatric occupational therapist since I received my Master’s Degree from Boston University in 2000. My professional experiences include working in Early Intervention, working with the deaf/blind student population at Perkin’s School for the Blind in Boston, and in two private sensory clinics (most recently the STAR Institute, Denver). I am Sensory Integration and Praxis Test (SIPT) certified. I also hold an expert training leader certification in the DIR /Floortime Model through the Interdisciplinary Council on Development and Learning (ICDL) I divide my time treating children and their families and teaching the level 1 mentorship program as faculty of the STAR Institute.
About the clinic:
Nine-hundred square feet of dedicated therapeutic space, located in the Central Park Neighborhood. This space affords families enough room to enjoy in the process of intervention but is cozy enough to feel like home.

Check out my new book Joey's heart! It's never too early to start talking about how your body change in reaction to big and small events. We can see and feel our bodies and with an understanding of those sensations, we can start to make sense of the more abstract concepts like emotions and empathy. Enjoy reading about Joey and his heart with your child and get ready to see how this little bit of fun can lay the ground work for emotional awareness and regulation.
